Sanding Belts

Sanding belts are ideal for high speed sanding on either portable or stationary sanding machines.  They are available in various grits and material and come in paper and cloth backings.  Due to the variety of tools and machines available custom belts can be made to any size.

Measuring sanding belts is a simple process. First, you need to determine the width and length of the belt. Use a tape measure to measure the width of the belt from one edge to the other. Then, measure the length of the belt. The best way to do this is by cutting an old belt and laying it flat. This way you are sure to measure the entire length of the belt, including any overlap. Finally, you can determine the grit of the sanding belt by looking at the back or non-abrasive side of the belt or otherwise check your packaging.
