Fast-curing, flexible bonding and sealing for demanding industrial applications. 3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 550 is a black, one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant that forms permanent elastic bonds on a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials.
This 20.28 fl oz, 599.8 mL sausage pack provides strong adhesion to concrete, wood, aluminum, lacquered metals, polyester, glass, stone, plastics and fiberglass-reinforced materials. The elastic formula helps seal against moisture while accommodating movement, vibration and temperature changes.

Applicator requirement
This product is supplied in a 600 mL sausage pack. Use a compatible sausage-pack hand or pneumatic applicator designed for 600 mL packs. It is not intended for use in a standard 310 mL cartridge applicator.
Surface preparation
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust, loose material and other contaminants. For the best results, test the complete application on representative materials before production use.
Polyurethane sealants may require primers or additional preparation on certain substrates. Follow the applicable 3M technical documentation and project requirements.
Use and Handling Notes
- Apply to clean, dry and properly prepared surfaces.
- Use a compatible 600 mL sausage-pack applicator.
- Allow adequate curing time before exposing the bond or seal to service loads, water or movement.
- Paint only after the sealant has cured sufficiently and compatibility with the selected coating has been confirmed.
- For load-bearing, safety-critical or highly specialized applications, validate the complete assembly and follow 3M technical guidance.
