    Extra Product Information

  • 3M Finesse-it Buffing Pads are available in wool, felt, and foam, offering unique performance traits and benefits depending on your application needs
  • Wool pads are best paired with rotary-type buffing tools, as they are more aggressive and easier to control when compared to foam pads
  • This is thanks to their greater available cutting surface, made up of thousands of fibers that deliver fast cutting action
  • Wool fibers also hold the polish to provide an even distribution of material, requiring less pressure from the operator to use when taking on projects such as removing sanding scratches
  • Alternatively, felt and foam pads are generally less aggressive and produce a finer finish than wool pads
  • Developed to address the unique chemical composition of evolving paint and clear coat technologies, 3M Finesse-it Felt Buffing Pads rely on a combination of cutting and finishing to refine the surface coating and remove fine scratches, swirl marks, and surface marring
  • Foam buffing pads are ideal for final and extra-fine finishing steps for clear coats and for removing sand scratches or swirl marks from previous finishing steps
  • Foam pads also normally operate at higher RPMs than wool pads, making them suitable to use with rotary and random orbital tools
  • These pads are best paired with 3M Finesse-it Polishes, which help to achieve satin, semi-gloss, or high-gloss finishes on wood, automotive, marine, and aerospace coatings.

    • Product Information

  • CONFORMABLE: This pad's wool nap conforms to contours for even finishing
  • EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE: Thanks to their cutting ability, wool pads are effective for removing sanding scratches, oxidation, and other paint surface defects
  • FAST CUTTING: Wool pads are more aggressive and easier to control when compared to foam
  • QUICK AND EASY PAD CHANGES: The 3M Hookit Attachment System allows for easy pad changes and helps optimize tool uptime
  • TOOL VERSATILITY: Pads combine with buffers, random orbital tools, and variable speed polishers
  • WOOL CONSTRUCTION: Constructed from wool knit into a polyester fabric and pre-washed to help reduce loose fibers before use
