The 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device for Metal Pipes 3MCID is an intumescent device that firestops 3-inch metallic penetrations through fire-rated concrete floor assemblies. The device is installed by attaching directly to the form before a concrete slab is poured.

Features

• Easily adjusted height accommodates concrete thickness from 2-1/2" up to 8"
• Firestop tested for up to 3 hours in accordance with ASTM E 814 (UL 1479)
• Installs securely by attaching directly to flooring deck
• Meets UL Water Leakage Test, W Rating - Class 1 requirements for systems tested and listed in accordance with ANSI/UL 1479 (see system details)
• Models for metallic (black cap) and non-metallic (white cap) penetrating items
• Red colour easily identifiable as fire-rated device
