3M TM Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive (IRSA) is formulated for true automotive OEM-specified structural bonding applications, excellent for collision energy absorption in steel structures and advanced lightweight aluminium alloys. This two-part epoxy adhesive delivers extended worktimes - up to 1 hour - and can be rapidly heat-cured. The adhesive changes from silver to purple as the adhesive cures.

  • Adheres to a wide variety of properly-prepared steel and aluminium substrates
  • Colored formula dispenses silver before turning purple to indicate proper curing
  • Delivers higher impact strength compared to traditional bonding adhesives
  • Ideal for either welding or riveting bonding within working time
  • Offers an excellent shelf life whether opened or unopened, helping to reduce unused product replacement costs
  • One-day (24 hrs) curing process can be accelerated with heat
  • Provides corrosion protection with a lifetime warranty
