Scotch-Brite™ 7447 is a general purpose hand pad for shops, maintenance teams, fabricators, paint prep areas, and finishing departments that need a repeatable surface conditioning pad. It is aggressive enough for light cleaning and scuffing, but controlled enough for hand finishing and preparation work where gouging the surface would be a problem.
The open-web non-woven construction helps resist loading, while the flexible pad can be folded, stacked, or rolled to reach flat, contoured, and irregular surfaces. Use it by hand for precise control, with a hand pad block for more uniform pressure, or with compatible hand and in-line sanding equipment.
Best fit
Choose 7447 when you need a maroon very fine pad for general cleaning, blending, scuffing, paint preparation, finishing, light deburring, denibbing, or defuzzing.
Not the best fit
For heavy grinding, thick scale removal, heavy rust removal, or fast stock removal, use a more aggressive abrasive disc, belt, wheel, or cleaning product instead.
