Complete intrinsically safe painter's PAPR kit
The 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-800-PSK Painters Kit combines an intrinsically safe TR-800 Series powered air purifying respirator with M-206 loose-fitting helmet headgear and an organic vapour, acid gas, and HE combination cartridge. The complete belt-mounted system is supplied with the battery, charger, breathing tube, covers, airflow indicator, and cleaning accessories needed to establish an approved workplace configuration.
TR-800-PSK brings the core components of a professional PAPR system together in one matched kit. Its loose-fitting headgear, selectable airflow, clear status indicators, and easy-clean components help support worker comfort and practical day-to-day maintenance in properly assessed paint-spray environments.
The TR-802N blower and mechanically attached TR-830N battery form the intrinsically safe power assembly for specified Division 1 and Zone hazardous locations.
Three airflow settings allow the wearer to select nominal loose-fitting flow rates of 190, 205, or 220 L/min.
Audible, vibratory, and visual alerts identify low airflow, low battery, or a system alarm so the wearer can leave the contaminated area.
The easy-clean belt, breathing-tube cover, airflow indicator, filter cover, and cleaning kit support setup, inspection, and maintenance.
The catalog configuration includes the following matched 3M™ Versaflo™ components. Component substitutions can affect NIOSH approval and intrinsic-safety status.

Runtime, airflow, protection, cartridge service life, and other performance depend on the complete approved configuration, selected airflow, filter loading, contaminants, concentrations, environmental conditions, maintenance, and work rate.
This system is for professional occupational use only. It must be selected, configured, inspected, maintained, and used within a compliant respiratory-protection program. In Canada, follow CSA Z94.4 and all requirements of the applicable jurisdiction. The wearer must read and understand every applicable 3M user instruction before use.
Do not use in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, where contaminant concentrations are unknown or immediately dangerous to life or health, or where concentrations exceed the maximum use concentration for the approved configuration. The filter-loading indicator measures particulate loading only and does not indicate remaining gas or vapour cartridge service life.
The TR-830N battery is intrinsically safe only when correctly attached to the TR-800N blower. Change batteries and use the TR-642N charger only in a location known to be non-hazardous. The charger is not intrinsically safe. Never substitute or modify system components.
The kit includes the core blower, battery, charger, helmet, breathing tube, cartridge, belt, covers, airflow indicator, attachment tool, and cleaning/storage components. A qualified program administrator must still confirm that the configuration, cartridge, assigned protection factor, change-out schedule, training, and workplace procedures are suitable for the specific exposure.
3M lists an approximate runtime of 4 to 8 hours for a new battery and filter at about 20°C to 21°C. Actual runtime varies with headgear, filter or cartridge, selected airflow, filter loading, battery condition, temperature, and work environment.
No. The charger is not intrinsically safe. The TR-830N battery must be changed and charged only in an area known to be non-hazardous, using the approved 3M charger and following the battery and charger instructions.
No. The filter-loading indicator relates only to particulate loading. Gas and vapour cartridge service life must be managed through a documented change-out schedule based on the contaminant, concentration, humidity, temperature, work rate, and other workplace conditions.
