Always observe the maximum operating speed marked on the disc, backing pad, and grinder. Use the lowest applicable speed rating for the complete assembly.
The coated abrasive is considered a manufactured article as sold, but grinding creates dust from both the disc and the workpiece. The United Abrasives SDS identifies generated dust as a repeated-exposure hazard and states not to breathe it. Use effective local exhaust or general ventilation, safety goggles or a face shield over safety glasses, suitable gloves, protective clothing, hearing protection, and an appropriate respirator when required by the exposure assessment.
